Tufted Titmouse Visit
I've had a new visitor to my backyard lately. It's a pretty common bird in my yard, but it's new to me.
These guys like to bark and let their presence be known. I've really enjoyed them because they don't mind close contact. Not too close, but close relatively speaking about birds. I've read where they respond to you with calls and chats if and when they associate you with food. This one above landed on one of the feeder poles and immediately let everyone know that it had arrived.
This one seemed to play nice with others. I've heard that they sometimes flock and hang out with the Chickadees (Carolina Chickadees here in La.). Twice one has arrived with a Chickadee. Above is a female House Finch sharing the feeder.
This one here was making his way slowly down my copper tree to the water fountain. These little guys made my month. I haven't had a new visitor in a month or two and it was quite refreshing to see a new friend.
