Chrome & Red Industrial Chest of Drawers
This chest of drawers is JUICED! No need to test it for steroids - it's full of them.
It all started as a test for using metallic paint on furniture. I think it worked! I removed the top drawer because it was beyond reasonable repair. I also made the second drawer fixed so it could be used for display of themed vintage components. I really didn't want to give up my "American Ironer" emblem but this was the best piece for it.
I used Annie Sloan paint on the sides and then accented the handles. The vintage gym locker baskets got a touch of paint to tie them in more with the design.
Just like the nightstand I recently completed, this piece was perfect for another vintage vanity light application.
I flushed out the interior of the top drawer compartment with new custom sides and a floor and covered it with punched metal sheets so that the baskets wouldn't scratch things up.
