This table has been a long work in progress. I spent a lot of time on the custom distressed colors and finish. It has two layers of different chalk paint and then a lot of time distressing it back down to the look I was trying to achieve.
And THEN after all that, I had to work with this very unruly vintage Shreveport wall map. Haha!
It took a lot of taming to get this bad boy to finally lay down for good. But it all worked out in the end. The "Cross Lake" body of water and the general tone of the rest of the map background were the inspiration for the colors I choose to finish the coffee table in.
The table measures 48" long and 26" wide with a height of 19.5". It's super solid and will last a lifetime. It was finished in polyurethane so it can take lots of abuse over all of its future years.
