Repurposed Vintage Water Ski & Sewing Machine Drawer Book Ends

Hey there GadgetSponge fans!  Sorry for the delay in posting recently.  Had to get over a little mishap with my miter saw.  Let's just say that it "forced" some respect.  My hand is healed enough to get back in the garage FINALLY!

So here's the latest creation from the garage.  I have a gabillion vintage water skis that I constantly figuring ideas for, just like the beer and soda bottle opening station I just release (HERE).

This creation features parts from a vintage water ski and a couple of modified parts from some antique Singer sewing machine drawers.

How handy is this!  Functional in more than one way.  Store those little, loose knick knacks sitting on the table or in the bookshelf inside the sewing machine drawers.

The size of each book end is 9" tall, 6.5" wide and 8.75" deep.  So they are plenty big enough to hold several books together.  For larger books, you can add a few, small rubber stick-on feet to grip even better.

Did I forget to mention all the yardsticks and measuring sticks!?!  You know me, I've got to add them somewhere.  They are so much fun to look at and they add so much architecture to each piece.

This upcycled item, along with my other creations, is available in the GadgetSponge Etsy Shopand at Timeline Antiques in Shreveport, LA!
